(Sydney) 16 December 2019 – Kite, the consumer and digital agency of Sefiani Communications Group, has been engaged by UK-based premium airport lounges operator, No1 Lounges, to act as its lead agency in Australia. Following a competitive pitch process, Kite will manage an integrated marketing approach to support the company’s business growth.
Over the past 12 months, No1 Lounges has launched luxury lounges in Sydney and Melbourne International Airports with five-star service, à la carte dining and fully tended bars, as well as a truly unique loft-inspired social lounge in Brisbane. No1 Lounges began operating in the UK over a decade ago, where it now has 12 lounges located in airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham and Edinburgh. No1 Lounges is driven by a clear and simple purpose to democratise access to world-class airport lounge experiences for both business and leisure travellers with their pay-to-enter model, no matter their airline or class of travel.
John Upton, No1 Lounges Chief Executive Officer, said Kite provided the perfect framework for a successful partnership to achieve the company’s goals.
“We were looking for a one-stop-shop in Australia and found it in Kite. We were impressed with the strategy and creative presented by the two Nicoles (Nicole Schulz and Nicole Thurston) at Kite and are looking forward to their ideas coming to life.
“We’re delighted to have introduced our innovative pay-per-use lounge concepts to Australia and to be transforming the airport lounge category, by bringing a five-star experience at great value to all travellers. With Kite’s demonstrated experience driving awareness and online bookings we can democratise lounges and provide the best pre-flight experience for everyone,” he said.
Nicole Schulz, General Manager at Kite, said: “Kite has extensive experience in travel and tourism and a proven track record establishing brands in new categories. No1 Lounges’ proposition to enable travellers to eat, drink and relax in style before they fly is a compelling opportunity for Australians and we look forward to helping them raise awareness of this offering.”
